The skin under the eyes is thin and shows tiredness, dehydration and shadowing more readily than elsewhere on the face. Injectable under-eye mesotherapy uses dedicated products — at Rivendell Clinic including the Light Eyes protocol — that deliver hyaluronic acid together with brightening and antioxidant ingredients into the area to improve hydration, tone and the appearance of dark circles. It is a different approach from filler: rather than adding volume, it aims to improve the quality and freshness of the skin itself. At the clinic a physician assesses what is driving the under-eye appearance, since shadowing can come from pigmentation, thin skin, fluid or true hollowing, each of which responds differently. Fine injections are placed across the under-eye region in a quick session with little downtime beyond possible small marks or brief puffiness. Because the effect is cumulative, a short course spaced a few weeks apart is usually recommended, with results building gradually and maintenance occasionally thereafter. Where the main issue is a hollow tear trough, the doctor may instead or additionally recommend a small amount of hyaluronic-acid filler, priced separately.
