The check covers the whole skin surface on request — including scalp, soles, and other commonly missed sites — and is recommended annually for adults, more often for high-risk patients (fair skin, many moles, sunburn history, family history of melanoma). Benign growths such as fibromas and seborrheic keratoses can be removed without sutures from 1,000 Kč; suspicious lesions are managed through proper excision and histological pathways.

What the examination involves
The dermatologist takes a focused history (new or changing lesions, itching or bleeding moles, personal and family skin-cancer history, sun exposure and sunburn record, immunosuppression) and then examines the skin systematically. Each pigmented lesion of interest is inspected with a dermatoscope — a polarised magnifying instrument that reveals the pigment network, vascular patterns, and structural features beneath the skin surface that the naked eye…
