Dental Cone-Beam CT & Panoramic X-ray

Type

CT Scan

Duration

20 min

In-house digital dental imaging used to diagnose problems and to plan implant, surgical and orthodontic treatment. Reg-Med runs small intraoral X-rays, full panoramic images and cephalometric views, plus cone-beam CT of the jaw that shows the bone in three dimensions. Having imaging on site means implant and extraction planning can be done in the same building, with single X-rays from just 20 zł.

Dental imaging lets the dentist see what is happening below the surface — inside teeth, around their roots and within the jawbone — which is essential for accurate diagnosis and for planning treatment safely. Reg-Med Klinika has its own digital X-ray and cone-beam CT suite, so most imaging can be taken and reviewed during a visit rather than referred elsewhere, and the clinic notes that its digital technology keeps radiation exposure low. The clinic offers several types of image for different purposes. A small intraoral X-ray (20 zł) shows one or a few teeth in detail, useful for checking decay, fillings or a single root. A panoramic X-ray (50 zł) captures all the teeth, both jaws and the surrounding structures in a single wide image, giving an overview for general assessment, wisdom teeth and broad treatment planning. A lateral skull or cephalometric X-ray (50 zł) is used mainly in orthodontics to analyse jaw and tooth relationships. For implant and more complex surgical work, cone-beam CT produces a three-dimensional view of the jawbone so the team can assess bone volume and position implants precisely; this is quoted at the clinic as part of treatment planning. Because Reg-Med's implantology relies on careful three-dimensional assessment of the bone, in-house cone-beam imaging is central to how the clinic plans its strategic implant cases and surgical extractions. Imaging is taken when it is clinically justified, and the dentist will explain why a particular view is needed and what it shows. Having diagnostics, surgery and prosthetics under one roof is part of what allows the clinic to compress treatment into fewer visits.
