A dental crown is a custom-made cap that covers a tooth to restore its shape, strength and appearance when it is badly worn, cracked, heavily filled or root-treated. A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by joining crowns on the teeth on either side of the gap, creating a fixed, non-removable restoration; bridges can also be supported by implants. The clinic provides full-ceramic crowns, which use no metal core and tend to give the most natural light transmission, as well as porcelain-fused restorations. The choice depends on where the tooth sits in the mouth, how much natural tooth remains and aesthetic priorities, and is discussed at a prosthodontic consultation (from 150 zł, credited toward treatment). A typical course of treatment involves preparing the tooth, taking impressions, fitting a temporary restoration where needed and then cementing the final crown or bridge once it has been made. Because every case differs in the number of units and the material selected, crown and bridge fees are quoted individually rather than from a fixed list. Well-made fixed restorations can restore comfortable chewing and a consistent smile, and are often combined with the clinic's implant work to complete larger reconstructions.
