Surgical excision of benign skin lesions at RAJSKA Clinic is performed by board-qualified dermatologists and includes initial dermatoscopic examination to assess any lesion before removal. The service covers pigmented naevi (moles), benign skin growths, viral warts, seborrheic keratosis, molluscum contagiosum, fibromas, and other common benign lesions. Histological examination (pathology analysis) is available and recommended for any excised lesion with atypical features. All procedures use local anaesthetic, and the clinic's physician team provides the clinical judgment to distinguish cosmetically bothersome benign lesions from those requiring pathology review.
Surgical lesion removal at RAJSKA Clinic begins with a dermatoscopic examination — a non-invasive technique using a handheld dermoscope that illuminates and magnifies the lesion's subsurface structure, allowing the physician to assess features like asymmetry, border irregularity, colour variation, and vascular patterns that indicate whether a lesion is benign, dysplastic, or requires urgent referral. The clinic charges 2,000 Kč for a dedicated consultation to assess one or more moles — a price that is deducted (in part) from the cost of any procedure performed on the same day. For lesions assessed as benign and suitable for removal, the approach is selected by the physician: **Excision with sutures** is used for lesions in cosmetically sensitive areas or where clean margin closure is important. Sizes up to 0.5 cm cost 1,500 Kč; 0.5–2 cm cost 1,800 Kč; larger than 2 cm cost 2,400 Kč. Sutures are typically removed after seven to fourteen days depending on location. **Excision without sutures** (1,300 Kč) uses a punch or shave technique for superficial lesions where the small wound can heal by secondary intention — typically leaving a flatter scar than suture excision for the right lesion type. **Curette removal** (from 500 Kč for ≤1 cm²) uses a sharp circular instrument to scoop out seborrheic warts, viral warts, and molluscum lesions that do not require histology. **Histological examination** (2,000 Kč) is available and strongly recommended for any lesion with unusual dermoscopic features. The excised tissue is sent to a certified pathology laboratory and results are reviewed by the physician at a follow-up. The clinic has a plastic surgeon (MUDr. Barbora Formánková) on the team, which ensures that larger excisions in visible areas benefit from optimal surgical technique and minimal scarring outcome.
