About this treatment
Intravenous vitamin delivery achieves plasma concentrations that are simply not possible orally. Vitamin C, for example, has intestinal absorption limited by sodium-dependent transporters — oral doses above 1 gram per day have declining bioavailability, and plasma levels plateau regardless of further dose increases.
