Type
MRI Scan
Duration
30 min
MRI of a single shoulder joint evaluating the rotator cuff tendons, glenoid labrum, biceps tendon, and glenohumeral articulation. Used for impingement, tears, and instability assessment.
RADTOP's shoulder MRI covers the four rotator cuff tendons (supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor, subscapularis), the glenoid labrum, the long head of biceps tendon, and the acromioclavicular joint. The radiologist grades any tendinopathy or tears and assesses for labral lesions such as SLAP or Bankart patterns. The scan is commonly requested for persistent shoulder pain that has not responded to conservative treatment, post-dislocation instability assessment, and pre-surgical planning for arthroscopic repair. Contrast enhancement is available as an add-on when the clinical question requires it.
