Contrast-enhanced prostate MRI for detection and characterisation of prostate lesions. Contrast agent is included in the protocol as standard for prostate assessment.
The prostate MRI at RADTOP uses multiparametric sequences including T2-weighted anatomical imaging, diffusion-weighted imaging with ADC mapping, and dynamic contrast-enhanced sequences to detect and characterise prostate lesions. The contrast agent is a standard component of the prostate MRI protocol. This examination is commonly requested for patients with elevated PSA levels, as it may support pre-biopsy localisation of suspicious regions and help guide targeted sampling. It is also used for active surveillance monitoring in patients with known low-grade disease. The radiologist reports lesion location, size, and characteristics according to established grading criteria.
