Type
MRI Scan
Duration
30 min
MRI of a single hip joint assessing the acetabular labrum, articular cartilage, femoral head, and surrounding soft-tissue structures. Useful for groin pain, labral tears, and early osteoarthritis.
The hip MRI at RADTOP evaluates the femoral head and acetabulum, the acetabular labrum, articular cartilage, and periarticular soft tissues including the hip flexors and adductor tendons. The examination can identify labral tears, femoroacetabular impingement morphology, early cartilage loss, avascular necrosis, and stress fractures. This scan is particularly valuable for patients with groin pain of unclear origin, young adults with mechanical hip symptoms, and athletes with suspected labral pathology. It provides information that may not be available from plain radiographs alone.
