Type
MRI Scan
Duration
25 min
MRI of the cervical spine covering vertebrae C1 through C7, intervertebral discs, spinal cord, and exiting nerve roots. Commonly used for neck pain, radiculopathy, and disc herniation assessment.
The cervical spine MRI at RADTOP images the seven cervical vertebrae, their discs, the spinal cord, and the neural foramina through which nerve roots exit. The protocol typically includes sagittal and axial sequences that reveal disc herniations, foraminal stenosis, facet joint arthropathy, and spinal cord compression. This scan is frequently requested by patients with persistent neck stiffness, arm numbness or tingling, or post-traumatic assessment following whiplash injuries. No referral is needed for self-pay appointments, and contrast enhancement is available at an additional charge when the radiologist considers it clinically beneficial.
