Cardiac MRI (Rest)

Resting cardiac MRI for assessment of myocardial structure, chamber volumes, wall motion, and valve function. Non-invasive evaluation of heart anatomy and function without ionising radiation.

The resting cardiac MRI at RADTOP uses ECG-gated acquisition to synchronise imaging with the cardiac cycle, providing accurate measurements of ventricular volumes, ejection fraction, and myocardial wall thickness. The examination assesses all four chambers, valve morphology, the pericardium, and proximal great vessels. Cardiac MRI is considered the reference standard for quantifying ventricular function and myocardial mass. It is particularly valuable for patients with suspected cardiomyopathy, post-myocarditis assessment, and when echocardiographic findings are inconclusive. Contrast enhancement is available at additional cost for tissue characterisation including late gadolinium enhancement to detect fibrosis or scar.
