Breast MRI at RADTOP uses dynamic contrast-enhanced sequences to evaluate breast tissue with high sensitivity for detecting enhancing lesions. The examination is particularly useful as a supplemental screening tool for women with dense breast tissue or elevated risk, for characterising lesions found on mammography or ultrasound, and for assessing breast implant integrity. The contrast agent is a standard part of the breast MRI protocol, as enhancement kinetics are essential for lesion characterisation. The radiologist evaluates morphology and enhancement patterns according to standardised reporting criteria. This scan is available at both the Bochum and other RADTOP locations.
