Type
CT Scan
Duration
30 min
Computed tomography (CT) of any body region — head, sinuses, abdomen, pelvis, bones, or joints — using a multi-slice scanner and mandatory low-dose protocols. Covers both contrast-enhanced and non-contrast indications. Private patients and self-payers welcome; no referral required. Appointment usually available within a few days.
Radiologie Raboisen 38 offers CT scanning across all body regions using a multi-slice Mehrzeilen-Computertomograph operated under strict low-dose protocols. Before every CT examination, the physicians assess whether the clinical question can be answered equally well by MRI — which carries no ionising radiation — and prefer the radiation-free alternative where appropriate. When CT is the most appropriate modality, the scanner is calibrated to deliver the minimum dose necessary for diagnostic image quality. The practice's CT workflow begins with an ärztliches Vorgespräch — a physician consultation before the scan — in which the indication is confirmed, contraindications such as iodine allergy or impaired renal function are reviewed, and contrast medium use is planned. When intravenous contrast is required, a separate briefing covers preparation steps and allergy screening. Following the scan, findings are discussed with the patient on the same day in a personal post-examination consultation, a standard feature of the practice that distinguishes it from radiology centres where results are posted by mail days later. Practical CT scan times at Raboisen 38 range from under five minutes for a lung examination to approximately 15–20 minutes for complex multi-region acquisitions with contrast. Images are stored in a secure online portal accessible to the patient and to referring physicians, eliminating the need for CD transport. The practice is a pure private practice (Privatpraxis) — it bills according to GOÄ and accepts PKV-insured patients, Beihilfe recipients, and self-payers. Gesetzlich versicherte (statutory insurance) patients are explicitly welcomed as self-payers and are quoted individual costs before booking. Appointments are available Monday to Friday 08:00–20:00; online booking via Doctolib or phone. No referral is required.
