Determine your immunity against HBV due to vaccination or previous infection.

This test measures the blood levels of hepatitis B surface antibody (anti-HBs) to determine if you have immunity against the hepatitis B virus. A positive result indicates immunity from vaccination or prior infection. A negative result shows no antibodies and lack of immunity. Understanding your HBV immunity status is crucial for preventing infection and managing potential health risks. This test helps inform vaccination decisions and guides preventative measures.

Biomarkers Tested

3
Hepatitis B Surface Antibody IU/mL

Indicates immunity against HBV due to vaccination or previous infection.

HIV (Current) reactive/non-reactive

Detects HIV-1 and HIV-2 antibodies and/or p24 antigen. Fourth-generation tests can detect infection as early as 2–4 weeks after exposure. Early detection enables treatment that can achieve viral suppression and prevent transmission.

Hepatitis C (anti-HCV) reactive/non-reactive

Detects antibodies to hepatitis C virus, indicating current or past infection. A positive result requires confirmatory RNA testing. Hepatitis C is now curable with direct-acting antiviral medications in most patients.
