Dental Veneers

Type

Veneers

Porcelain and composite dental veneers to correct discolouration, chips, gaps, and shape irregularities. Q&M offers both single-visit composite veneers and laboratory-fabricated porcelain veneers for comprehensive smile makeovers at accessible price points across its Singapore network.

Dental veneers at Q&M Dental Group are thin shells of porcelain or composite resin bonded to the front surfaces of teeth to enhance their appearance. Veneers are used to address a wide range of cosmetic concerns: intrinsic staining that cannot be resolved by whitening (e.g., tetracycline staining, fluorosis), chipped or fractured enamel, minor tooth misalignments, uneven tooth shape or size, and small gaps (diastemas) between front teeth. Porcelain veneers are custom-fabricated by a dental laboratory based on precise impressions or digital scans taken at Q&M. The fabrication process typically requires two to three appointments: an initial preparation appointment (involving minimal enamel reduction of 0.3–0.7 mm), placement of provisional veneers, and a final bonding appointment once the laboratory-made veneers have been reviewed and adjusted for optimal fit, colour, and shape. Porcelain offers excellent durability (10–15+ years with good oral hygiene), high translucency that mimics natural enamel, and strong stain resistance. Composite veneers can be completed chair-side in a single visit. The dentist sculpts and bonds tooth-coloured composite resin directly to the tooth surface, using an artistic layering technique to achieve the desired form and shade. While composite veneers are less durable than porcelain (typically 5–8 years before polishing or replacement) and more susceptible to staining, they require minimal enamel preparation and allow direct reversal if desired. At Q&M, veneer treatment is underpinned by a clinical assessment of the patient's bite, gum health, and enamel quality. Digital smile design techniques allow patients to preview the anticipated aesthetic outcome before any preparation commences. Veneers are often combined with professional whitening of non-veneered teeth for a complete smile transformation.
