A consultation and examination is the starting point for any treatment at Uśmiech — the dentist or surgeon checks your teeth, gums and bite, discusses your concerns and, where useful, reviews imaging to plan care. Because the practice is surgery-led, it is also the place to get a specialist opinion on implants, difficult extractions or wisdom teeth, with treatment options, sequencing and costs explained before anything is booked.
Every course of dental treatment begins with an examination so the clinician understands your mouth and your goals before recommending anything. At a consultation at Uśmiech the dentist or oral surgeon assesses the condition of your teeth, gums and bite, talks through any symptoms or concerns you have, and — where it helps the plan — reviews or arranges imaging. The practice runs its own diagnostics, from panoramic and intraoral X-rays to a latest-generation 3D cone-beam (CBCT) scan, so complex problems can be evaluated thoroughly on site. Because Uśmiech's main focus is oral and maxillofacial surgery, a consultation here is especially useful for a specialist opinion: whether a tooth can be saved or is better removed, how an impacted wisdom tooth should be managed, or whether implants are suitable and how many would be needed. The clinician explains the realistic options, the order in which treatment should be done, what each step involves and how much it costs, and answers your questions in Polish, English or German. For visitors travelling to Jelenia Góra — close to both the Czech and German borders — this is also the moment to plan treatment around the timing of a trip. There is no obligation to proceed, and you leave with a clear understanding of what is recommended and why. A specialist consultation is the lower-cost option for a focused second opinion, while a full examination provides a broader review of your whole mouth.
