Comprehensive health screen expanding the klein panel to a full CBC, complete lipid panel, liver and kidney function, HbA1c for diabetes risk, electrolytes, albumin, and thyroid. At €130.21 all-in, thorough annual coverage for adults with or without risk factors.
The Basis-Check (groß) is the full-spectrum preventive health panel at Promed Check, covering the biomarker set that most general practitioners would order for a thorough annual check. It builds on the klein panel by adding the markers needed for proper risk stratification rather than simple screening. The full CBC with differential white cell count provides substantially more diagnostic information than the small CBC — it can detect early signs of leukaemia, lymphoma, allergic conditions, and chronic infection through the differential pattern. Haemoglobin and MCV together classify anaemia by cause (iron deficiency produces microcytic, B12/folate deficiency produces macrocytic). The complete lipid panel (total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides) enables cardiovascular risk calculation using the European SCORE2 model. Isolated total cholesterol is insufficient — an individual with high total cholesterol but very high HDL has a fundamentally different risk profile from someone with low HDL and elevated LDL. The total-to-HDL ratio is a particularly strong predictor of coronary events. HbA1c transforms diabetes screening from a single fasting glucose snapshot into a 3-month glycaemic average. This catches pre-diabetes that fasting glucose alone misses in many cases, as post-prandial glucose spikes elevate HbA1c before fasting values become abnormal. The pre-diabetic range (5.7-6.4%) identifies individuals who benefit most from lifestyle intervention. The expanded liver panel (GPT, GOT, GGT) provides pattern recognition for different liver pathologies. An isolated GPT elevation suggests hepatocellular damage. GGT elevation with normal GPT suggests cholestatic or alcohol-related pathology. The GOT:GPT ratio helps distinguish alcoholic from non-alcoholic causes. Electrolytes (sodium, potassium, calcium) detect derangements that can cause cardiac arrhythmias, muscle weakness, and neurological symptoms. Albumin reflects nutritional status and synthetic liver function over a longer timeframe than the transaminases. This panel represents the optimal balance of comprehensiveness and cost for adults over 30 or anyone with family history of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or thyroid dysfunction.
