Secret RF at Projekt Skora combines fractional microneedling with bipolar radiofrequency energy delivery. The device uses 25 or 64 gold-plated, semi-insulated microneedles that penetrate the skin to adjustable depths of 0.5mm to 3.5mm. Once at the target depth, RF energy is emitted from the needle tips, creating precise zones of controlled thermal coagulation in the dermis without heating the epidermis. This dual-action mechanism produces two complementary tissue responses. The mechanical puncture from the microneedles activates the skin's wound-healing cascade, prompting fibroblast migration and new collagen synthesis. Simultaneously, the RF energy delivered at depth causes immediate collagen contraction and denaturation, followed by long-term collagen remodelling over the subsequent weeks and months. The insulated needle design concentrates energy at the tip, sparing the superficial skin and significantly reducing the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation — making Secret RF suitable for all skin types including Fitzpatrick IV-VI. The treating physician can adjust needle depth, RF energy level, and exposure time for each pass, allowing precise customisation across different facial zones. Thinner skin around the eyes may be treated at 0.5-1.0mm with lower energy, while thicker cheek and jawline skin can receive deeper penetration at higher energy levels. A typical full-face session involves 2-3 passes over each zone. Topical anaesthetic cream is applied 30-40 minutes before the procedure for comfort.
