Type
MRI Scan
Duration
30 min
Targeted 3T MRI of a single spinal section — cervical, thoracic, or lumbar — for disc herniations, spinal stenosis, nerve compression, and degenerative changes. AI-enhanced imaging with musculoskeletal specialist review.
This scan focuses on one section of the vertebral column: cervical (neck), thoracic (mid-back), or lumbar (lower back). The 3T field strength provides the resolution needed to distinguish between disc bulges and true herniations, to grade foraminal stenosis accurately, and to detect early degenerative changes in the vertebral endplates and facet joints. AI processing enhances edge definition in the spinal canal, improving visibility of nerve root compression and subtle disc signal changes. The examination is reviewed by a musculoskeletal radiologist who assesses vertebral body alignment, disc morphology, spinal canal dimensions, neural foramina, facet joints, and the adjacent paravertebral soft tissues. The report provides a segment-by-segment assessment with clinical correlation where applicable. Patients presenting with localised back or neck pain, radiculopathy symptoms, or known disc disease commonly select this scan. Progardia offers same-day combination discounts for patients who need multiple spinal sections scanned — two sections at DKK 5,075 or all three at DKK 6,960.
