Comprehensive 3T MRI covering the upper and lower abdomen — liver, kidneys, spleen, pancreas, gallbladder, bowel, bladder, and pelvic organs. AI-enhanced imaging with specialist abdominal radiology review.
The full abdomen MRI combines upper and lower abdominal imaging into a single examination that surveys all solid organs, the retroperitoneum, the mesentery, and the pelvic structures. The upper abdomen component covers the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, and adrenal glands. The lower abdomen extends coverage to the bowel loops, mesenteric lymph nodes, bladder, and reproductive organs. At 3T field strength, the scanner resolves small pancreatic lesions, renal cysts and solid masses, adrenal adenomas, and gallbladder polyps with a level of detail that supports confident characterisation rather than equivocal findings that require further imaging. Diffusion-weighted imaging adds a functional dimension that highlights areas of restricted water diffusion — a hallmark of cellular pathology including tumours, abscesses, and inflammatory changes. This scan represents a cost saving compared to separate upper and lower abdomen scans (DKK 5,075 versus DKK 5,800 individually). It is reviewed by an abdominal imaging specialist. Common indications include screening for abdominal malignancy, evaluation of unexplained abdominal symptoms, follow-up of known renal or hepatic lesions, and comprehensive abdominal assessment as part of a broader preventive health strategy.
