A fractional CO2 laser that resurfaces the skin in microscopic columns to improve texture, fine lines, acne scarring and tone. By treating only a fraction of the surface at a time, it stimulates strong collagen remodelling while leaving surrounding skin to speed recovery. Treatment can be focused on the whole face, the neck, the décolletage or smaller zones such as the eye or mouth area, and a short course gives the best outcome.

About this treatment

Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing delivers energy into the skin in a grid of microscopic treatment zones, leaving the surrounding tissue intact. This fractional approach is associated with a strong collagen-remodelling response that can smooth texture, soften fine lines, fade acne scarring and even out tone, while the untreated bridges of skin between zones allow faster recovery than older fully ablative resurfacing.

At PROESTETICA the skin is cleansed and numbed before treatment, which takes around thirty to forty-five minutes for the face. Afterwards the skin feels warm and looks flushed, with mild swelling and a sandpaper-like texture for several days as it renews; diligent moisturising and strict sun protection support healing, and most people return to normal activities within a few days.
