Neck and chin liposuction removes the submental fat pad — the deposit under the chin and along the anterior neck — using MUDr. Šimek's tumescent local anaesthesia technique in Olomouc. The procedure produces several simultaneous improvements: enhanced jawline definition, a more defined chin profile, optical narrowing of the neck with a lengthening effect, improved facial proportions, and an overall rejuvenating appearance. Because only local anaesthesia is used, patients can leave the clinic the same day without accompaniment and return to normal activities quickly. The compression garment (chin strap style) is included in the price.
About this treatment
Submental fat accumulation — commonly described as a 'double chin' — is one of the most consistent complaints among patients seeking facial rejuvenation. The deposit is located in the submental space between the platysma muscle and the overlying skin, and its presence disrupts the cervicomental angle (the angle between the chin and neck in profile), which is one of the key anatomical determinants of perceived facial youth and defined jawline.
Why this deposit is so resistant to non-surgical approaches
The submental zone is particularly difficult to reduce through weight loss because it sits in a mechanically inactive area: the tissue is not compressed, stretched, or significantly metabolically active relative to trunk or limb depots. Non-surgical fat reduction methods (cryolipolysis, deoxycholic acid injections) have modest but variable efficacy in this zone and typically require multiple sessions. Surgical tumescent liposuction, by contrast, removes…
