Inner knee liposuction addresses a fat pad above and around the medial knee joint — a deposit that MUDr. Šimek's clinic describes as 'often genetically determined and practically impossible to reduce through exercise or weight loss.' It is one of the smaller-volume liposuction zones, which is reflected in the lower starting price compared with larger body areas, and it is notable for producing a disproportionately significant visual result from a small amount of fat removal. The tumescent technique is applied under local anaesthesia, and knee-length compression stockings — included in the price — are worn for 2–3 weeks post-procedure. No hospitalisation is required.
About this treatment
The medial knee fat pad is a distinct anatomical deposit that sits immediately above the joint line and along the inner aspect of the lower femur. Unlike most other areas where liposuction is performed, the inner knee fat does not directly overlie a major muscle group — it accumulates against a bony and cartilaginous structure, which is why conventional exercise (which burns subcutaneous fat by recruiting underlying muscle) has minimal effect on it.
MUDr. Šimek's clinical documentation explicitly notes this genetic determinism: the inner knee deposit is present even in otherwise slim, active patients and does not diminish proportionately with general fat loss or targeted exercise. For patients who are self-conscious about the inner knee appearance while standing or in photographs taken from below knee level, surgical liposuction remains the only reliably effective intervention.
