Unlike microneedling carried out in beauty salons, this treatment is performed in a plastic surgery setting where needle depth, speed, and cartridge sterility are precisely controlled. The device uses an 11-needle cartridge oscillating at 25–90 punctures per second across 7 speed settings, with adjustable penetration depth from 0.25 to 2.5 mm. This controlled micro-injury induces the skin's collagen-remodelling response, reducing wrinkles, improving skin texture, treating post-acne scarring, and addressing keloid formation. Each needle cartridge is single-use. Redness and minor scabbing for 7–10 days post-session is expected.

Microneedling operates on the principle of controlled cutaneous micro-injury: when needles penetrate the dermis at precise depths, they initiate a localised wound healing cascade that includes platelet activation, growth factor release (TGF-β, PDGF, FGF), and fibroblast migration.
