1.5T MRI of a single shoulder covering the rotator cuff, glenoid labrum, biceps tendon, and glenohumeral joint. Available without referral for standard imaging.
The shoulder MRI at PrivatHospitalet Danmark provides detailed assessment of the rotator cuff tendons, glenoid labrum, long head of the biceps tendon, and the glenohumeral and acromioclavicular joints. Imaging planes are aligned to the supraspinatus tendon axis for optimal visualisation of the most commonly injured rotator cuff structure. The radiologist reports on each rotator cuff tendon individually — supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor, and subscapularis — grading any tendinopathy, partial-thickness tears, or full-thickness tears. The labrum is assessed for superior (SLAP) and inferior (Bankart) lesions, and subacromial bursal fluid and acromioclavicular joint arthropathy are documented. Priced at 2,625 DKK (before 6% surcharge) as a single-region scan, this is commonly requested for persistent shoulder pain, post-dislocation instability, and pre-surgical planning. For MR arthrography — involving intra-articular contrast injection for more detailed labral assessment — a referral is required and the price is 5,670 DKK.
