Private Space Medical's psychiatric assessment service is delivered by a team of five Senior Consultant Psychiatrists with a combined clinical experience of over 80 years across both public and private healthcare settings in Singapore and internationally. The assessment is led by doctors with sub-specialisations covering eating disorders, perinatal psychiatry, women's mental health, youth psychiatry, and general adult psychiatry, ensuring a clinically nuanced evaluation regardless of presenting concern. The initial consultation typically runs 60–90 minutes and involves a structured psychiatric interview exploring the patient's presenting symptoms, psychiatric and medical history, family history, psychosocial context, and functional impact. Where appropriate, validated psychometric screening tools (such as PHQ-9 for depression, GAD-7 for anxiety, or ADHD rating scales) are administered to complement clinical judgement. Cognitive assessments can be incorporated or referred to the clinic's Principal Psychologist team for formal neuropsychological testing. Diagnoses addressed include Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Dysthymia, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, eating disorders, and adjustment disorders. Following assessment, the psychiatrist formulates a treatment plan that may include medication prescription and management, referral to one of the clinic's psychologists for therapy, lifestyle recommendations, or specialist referral. The clinic is led by Dr Victor Kwok — founding Head of Psychiatry at Sengkang General Hospital and a Stanford-trained psychiatrist who received a Ministry of Health Health Manpower Development scholarship to train at Stanford Hospital.
