Facelift

The facelift at PRIMED Clinic is a full surgical rejuvenation of the lower face and neck: sagging deeper tissues are lifted and re-anchored, excess skin is removed, and the jawline and neck contour are restored. Performed under general anaesthesia by senior plastic surgeons from University Hospital Ostrava, it remains the most comprehensive and durable correction of advanced facial ageing.

As the face ages, the supporting SMAS layer (the muscle-fascia sheet beneath the skin) loosens, deep fat compartments descend, and skin loses elasticity — producing jowls, deep nasolabial folds, and a softened jaw-neck angle that injectables can no longer disguise. A surgical facelift addresses the cause: through incisions concealed along the hairline and around the ear, the surgeon lifts and repositions the SMAS layer, redrapes the skin without tension, and removes only the genuine surplus — the technique that yields natural, non-pulled results lasting roughly 8–12 years. At PRIMED Clinic facelift surgery is performed under general anaesthesia and takes around 3–4 hours depending on whether the neck is treated in the same session. Patients stay overnight in the clinic's renovated recovery rooms. Important candidacy notes from the clinic: the procedure cannot be performed on patients with certain recent health events or active conditions, which the surgeon screens for at the mandatory consultation, and smoking must be stopped well before surgery to protect skin healing. Recovery involves swelling and bruising for two to three weeks, with most patients socially confident at three weeks and final refinement over several months. The facelift can be combined with eyelid surgery, lipofilling, or thread-lift touch-ups — all available in-house.
