Breast Augmentation with Implants

Breast augmentation at PRIMED Clinic is performed by senior plastic surgeons who also lead the plastic surgery department at University Hospital Ostrava. Silicone implants are placed under general anaesthesia, with implant shape, size, and placement plane selected at an in-person consultation to match the patient's anatomy and goals. The clinic provides renovated on-site recovery rooms for the overnight stay.

Breast augmentation (augmentation mammaplasty) enlarges and reshapes the breasts using silicone implants placed either under the breast gland or partially under the pectoral muscle. At PRIMED Clinic the procedure is led by MUDr. Martin Paciorek and MUDr. Petr Havránek — respectively the head and deputy head of plastic surgery at University Hospital Ostrava — which gives patients hospital-grade surgical experience in a private clinic setting. The pathway starts with a consultation where the surgeon assesses tissue quality, chest wall shape, and skin elasticity, and helps select implant volume and profile. Women over 35, after repeated pregnancies, or with a family history of breast disease are asked to complete a breast ultrasound before surgery (available at the clinic from 1,000 Kč). Surgery is performed under general anaesthesia and typically takes 1–2 hours; the most common incision is in the inframammary fold. Patients usually stay overnight in the clinic's recovery apartment, wear a compression bra for several weeks, and return to office work within about a week, with sport restricted for roughly 4–6 weeks. Scars fade progressively over months. Results are immediate and long-lasting, though implants may need exchange after many years — a service the clinic also provides.
