At Prestige Dent extractions are performed under local anaesthetic by the oral surgery team, ranging from a straightforward removal to the surgical extraction of an impacted or broken-down tooth. Aftercare guidance is provided, and tooth-replacement options such as an implant can be planned afterwards.

Tooth extraction is the removal of a tooth from its socket in the jaw, carried out when a tooth is too damaged or diseased to restore, is severely loosened by gum disease, is impacted (such as a problematic wisdom tooth), or needs to be removed for orthodontic reasons. While dentists aim to preserve natural teeth wherever possible, a timely extraction can relieve pain, resolve or prevent infection and protect the surrounding teeth and bone.
