A dental implant is a small titanium screw that is placed into the jawbone to take the role of a natural tooth root. Once it has integrated with the surrounding bone, it can support a single crown, anchor a bridge or stabilise a denture, restoring both the appearance and the chewing function of the missing tooth. At Prestige Dent treatment begins with an implant consultation and a cone-beam CT scan, which lets the surgeon assess bone volume in three dimensions and plan the position precisely before any procedure. The placement itself is carried out under local anaesthetic and is generally well tolerated; the clinic offers both a standard implant and a premium implant system, and the choice is discussed at consultation based on the site and your priorities. After placement the implant is left to heal and integrate over a period of weeks to months before the final crown, made separately, is fitted on top. Where there is insufficient bone, the clinic also provides bone regeneration and sinus-lift procedures as part of a wider plan. Implants are associated with preserving the neighbouring teeth, which do not need to be reduced as they would for a conventional bridge, and with helping to maintain the jawbone at the gap. Suitability depends on general health, gum condition and bone quality, all of which are reviewed before treatment.
