Knee MRI

The knee MRI at Prescan evaluates the internal structures of a single knee joint using dedicated joint protocols with AI Deep Resolve enhancement. The radiologist systematically assesses the medial and lateral menisci, anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments, collateral ligaments, articular cartilage on all three compartments, and subchondral bone.

The patellofemoral compartment, extensor mechanism, and popliteal fossa are also evaluated. Bone marrow oedema, stress fractures, and osteochondral lesions are documented on fluid-sensitive sequences.

This scan is appropriate for patients with knee pain after sports injuries, chronic knee symptoms without a clear clinical diagnosis, and those wanting imaging before deciding on physiotherapy or surgical intervention.
