MRI of the hip joints and pelvic structures. Evaluates labrum, cartilage, femoral heads, and pelvic organs. Same-day results with radiologist consultation.
About this treatment
The hips and pelvis MRI at Prescan covers both hip joints, the acetabula, femoral heads, and pelvic soft tissues in a single examination. The scan is useful for detecting labral tears, femoroacetabular impingement morphology, early avascular necrosis, stress fractures, and pelvic organ pathology.
AI Deep Resolve imaging enhances resolution of the labral and cartilage structures that are critical for accurate hip assessment. The radiologist evaluates joint effusion, bone marrow signal, tendon integrity around both hips, and the pelvic floor musculature.
This examination is commonly requested for persistent hip or groin pain, bilateral hip comparison, and as part of comprehensive musculoskeletal screening. As with all Prescan scans, same-day results are provided during a personal consultation with the radiologist.
