The Total Body Scan Standard is Prescan Austria's entry-level comprehensive screening, combining multiple MRI sequences into a single session lasting between 90 and 120 minutes. The imaging covers the head and brain (including angiography to assess cerebral blood vessels), the cervical spine, and the upper and lower abdomen -- capturing the liver, kidneys, spleen, pancreas, gallbladder, adrenal glands, bladder, and reproductive organs. This combination of regions is selected because they contain the organs where many serious conditions -- tumours, aneurysms, cysts, organ enlargement, and structural abnormalities -- originate and grow silently for years before symptoms appear. Brain angiography adds vascular assessment that a standard brain MRI alone does not provide, screening for aneurysms and stenosis in the cerebral arteries. All imaging is conducted at partner radiology facilities in Vienna. Prescan coordinates the scheduling, patient preparation, and results delivery. Images are reviewed by specialist radiologists who produce a detailed findings report. The Standard tier does not include CT lung or cardiac calcium scoring, ultrasound, or cardio assessment -- those are available in the Excellent and Premium tiers. This scan is suited for individuals seeking a broad preventive baseline without the additional cardiac and laboratory workup included in higher tiers. No contrast agent is used for the standard MRI sequences, and no fasting is required unless specifically advised during scheduling.
