The Total Body Scan Premium is Prescan Austria's most thorough screening package, layering a complete cardiac function assessment on top of the already extensive Excellent tier. The cardio programme adds resting ECG (detecting rhythm abnormalities and conduction defects), stress ECG via cycle ergometry (assessing cardiac performance under load and identifying exercise-induced ischaemia), and cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) for direct visualisation of heart chamber dimensions, valve function, and ejection fraction. This combination means the Premium tier assesses the heart through three independent methods: structural imaging via CT calcium scoring (included from the Excellent tier), electrical function via ECG, and mechanical function via echocardiography. Together they provide a far more complete cardiac risk profile than any single modality alone. The full examination takes between three and four hours and is conducted across Prescan's partner facilities in Vienna. The package includes all MRI sequences from the Standard tier (head, brain angiography, cervical spine, upper and lower abdomen), all CT and ultrasound additions from the Excellent tier (lung CT, calcium scoring, carotid and thyroid ultrasound), the premium laboratory panel, and the cardio programme. This tier is best suited for individuals who want the most comprehensive single-visit screening available, particularly those with cardiovascular concerns or a family history of heart disease. The combined data set gives the reviewing physician a complete structural, functional, and biochemical overview of the patient's health.
