Dedicated breast MRI with contrast for cancer screening in high-risk women, lesion characterization, and post-surgical surveillance.
Breast MRI at PP Diagnostyka uses contrast-enhanced protocols to evaluate both breasts simultaneously. The examination includes pre-contrast T1 and T2-weighted sequences followed by dynamic post-contrast series acquired at multiple time points to assess lesion enhancement kinetics. Breast MRI has the highest sensitivity of any imaging modality for breast cancer detection, making it the recommended screening tool for women at high genetic risk (BRCA1/2 carriers, strong family history). It is also used to evaluate the extent of known breast cancer before surgery, assess the contralateral breast, detect recurrence after treatment, and characterize lesions that are indeterminate on mammography or ultrasound. The dynamic contrast series allows the radiologist to analyse wash-in and wash-out kinetics of enhancing lesions — a key differentiator between benign and malignant pathology. The BI-RADS classification system is applied to all findings. At 1,150 PLN including contrast, this represents strong value for dynamic breast MRI.
