MRI of the abdominal cavity including liver, pancreas, kidneys, spleen, and adrenal glands. Non-invasive, radiation-free imaging with superior soft-tissue contrast.
The abdominal MRI at PP Diagnostyka provides cross-sectional imaging of all solid abdominal organs using multiple MRI sequences. The examination covers the liver (parenchyma, vasculature, focal lesions), gallbladder and bile ducts, pancreas, kidneys (cortex, medulla, collecting system), spleen, and adrenal glands. Breath-hold techniques minimize respiratory motion artefact. This examination is particularly valuable when CT with iodinated contrast is contraindicated (renal impairment, contrast allergy) or when MRI's superior soft-tissue contrast offers diagnostic advantage — such as characterizing liver lesions (haemangioma vs. metastasis), evaluating pancreatic cystic lesions, and staging renal cell carcinoma. For patients requiring biliary tree visualization, PP Diagnostyka offers MRCP (cholangiography) at 900 PLN as a standalone or combined with the abdominal study at 1,200 PLN. Gadolinium contrast enhancement adds 380 PLN when needed for liver lesion characterization.
