HIFU Skin Tightening

HIFU (high-intensity focused ultrasound) delivers focused ultrasound energy to precise depths beneath the skin to stimulate collagen and lift and firm tissue without surgery or needles. It is well suited to early sagging of the lower face, jawline, brow and neck, and can also be used to reduce localised fat. Treatment can target the whole face or individual zones, with results building gradually over the following months.

HIFU stands for high-intensity focused ultrasound. The device focuses ultrasound energy at set depths beneath the skin's surface, creating tiny points of controlled heating in the deeper dermis and the supportive layer below it. This stimulates the skin's own collagen-remodelling response over the following weeks and months, gradually lifting and firming the treated area. Because the energy is focused below the surface, the top of the skin is left intact and there is little to no downtime. At P & P Beauty Clinic the treatment is mapped to your face and can be applied to the whole face or to individual zones such as the brow, the area around the eyes, the cheeks and jawline, the chin or the neck and décolleté. A session typically takes around forty-five to sixty minutes; you may feel brief warmth or prickling during treatment and the skin can look slightly flushed or feel tender afterwards, but you can usually return to normal activities straight away. Results are not immediate — collagen remodelling builds over roughly two to three months, with the lifting and tightening effect typically lasting around a year, after which a maintenance session can be considered. HIFU is best suited to mild-to-moderate skin laxity rather than significant sagging, where a surgical lift may be more appropriate, and the clinic also offers a focused-ultrasound protocol to reduce localised pockets of fat. Suitability is assessed beforehand and the treatment is avoided in pregnancy and over certain implants.
