This Dual Source architecture halves the time required to complete each cardiac cycle acquisition, producing sharp coronary images even at higher resting heart rates and reducing the frequency of beta-blocker premedication compared to single-source systems. The scanner acquires images in slices thinner than one millimetre and reconstructs the heart and coronary arteries in three dimensions.
