A radiofrequency microneedling treatment for the full face, combining controlled micro-injuries from insulated needles with bipolar radiofrequency energy delivered at the needle tip. Targets collagen remodelling, pore refinement, and skin texture improvement in the mid-to-deep dermis.

Radiofrequency microneedling at POWAB Clinic combines two established skin rejuvenation mechanisms in a single pass. An array of fine, insulated gold-tipped needles penetrates the skin to a precisely controlled depth (adjustable from 0.5mm to 3.5mm depending on the treatment zone), and bipolar radiofrequency energy is emitted exclusively from the uninsulated needle tips once they reach the target depth. Because the needle shafts are insulated, the RF energy is delivered only at the dermis — not the epidermis — which produces deep thermal remodelling with minimal surface damage and significantly less downtime than ablative treatments. The dual mechanism creates a powerful collagen-stimulating response. The mechanical micro-injuries from needle penetration trigger the skin's wound-healing cascade, prompting fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin as part of tissue repair. Simultaneously, the radiofrequency energy creates thermal coagulation zones around each needle tip, denaturing existing collagen fibres and causing them to contract while further amplifying the neocollagenesis signal. The combined effect is greater than either modality alone — tighter, thicker dermis with improved texture, reduced pore size, and smoother surface contour. The 45-minute treatment begins with topical anaesthetic cream applied 20 to 30 minutes beforehand. The practitioner then works systematically across the face, adjusting needle depth and RF energy level for each zone — shallower with lower energy around the delicate periorbital area, deeper with higher energy across the cheeks and forehead where skin is thicker. Multiple passes may be applied to areas of particular concern such as acne scarring or deep pores.
