Through an incision placed precisely in the natural lid crease, excess skin — and where needed a strip of muscle and protruding fat — is removed and the lid closed with fine sutures. The scar sits hidden in the crease and is barely detectable once matured. The procedure takes around 45–60 minutes for both eyes under local anesthesia.
