Mini abdominoplasty removes a horizontal ellipse of excess skin and fat from the infra-umbilical abdomen through a scar that is similar in position to the full abdominoplasty scar but shorter in length. This makes the procedure less complex, shorter (typically 90–120 minutes), and associated with a quicker recovery.
