Type

Rhinoplasty

Duration

2 hours

Rhinoplasty at MUDr. Kloud's Hradec Králové practice reshapes the nose through either the closed (all incisions inside the nostrils) or open (small columellar incision) technique, selected according to the complexity of correction required. Three price tiers reflect the surgical scope: CZK 38,000 for soft-tissue work only, CZK 50,000 for full rhinoplasty involving the bony framework, and CZK 55,000 when an L-strut cartilage graft from septum, ear, or rib is required. MUDr. Kloud's international training includes dedicated rhinoplasty experience gained at Marienhospital Stuttgart and Akademikliniken Stockholm. General anaesthesia is used and up to two post-operative nights are provided at Sanatorium Sanus. The nasal cast is removed at approximately day ten.

Rhinoplasty is among the most technically demanding procedures in aesthetic plastic surgery, requiring three-dimensional knowledge of nasal anatomy, an understanding of how cartilage and bone respond to surgical manipulation, and a trained aesthetic eye for facial harmony. MUDr. Kloud's surgical training in rhinoplasty spans rotations at Czech university hospitals and dedicated placements in Germany and Sweden, building a foundation that covers both aesthetic corrections and functional nasal surgery. The procedure begins at a consultation where the surgeon evaluates nasal proportions, the bony dorsum, cartilaginous tip, nostril base, and the relationship of the nose to other facial features. Goals are agreed upon, whether that means removing a dorsal hump, narrowing the bony base with osteotomies, refining a bulbous or asymmetric tip, improving tip projection or rotation, or correcting a deviated nose. Three pricing tiers reflect surgical complexity. Soft-tissue rhinoplasty (CZK 38,000) addresses the tip and skin only — suitable for isolated tip corrections where the bony dorsum is not involved. Full rhinoplasty (CZK 50,000) includes work on both the bony and cartilaginous framework: hump reduction, osteotomies, septal correction, and tip restructuring. When structural support requires the addition of a cartilage graft using an L-strut configuration — harvested from the nasal septum, ear, or rib — the procedure is CZK 55,000, reflecting the additional dissection and graft work involved. The surgeon chooses between the closed approach (all incisions inside the nostrils, no visible external scar) for cases where adequate visualisation is achievable endonasally, and the open approach (adding a small incision across the columella) for complex corrections, secondary rhinoplasties, or extensive tip restructuring where direct visualisation of the framework is essential. Surgery lasts one to three hours under general anaesthesia at Sanatorium Sanus, with up to two post-operative nights. A protective splint or plaster cast is applied over the nose at the end of surgery and removed at a follow-up around day ten. Any nasal packing is also removed at this early visit. Sutures from open approaches dissolve or are removed at the same time. Most patients return to work or social activities within two weeks. Sports and activities that risk nasal trauma should be avoided for at least four weeks. Sun exposure should be minimised for two months as the healing nasal skin can develop hyperpigmentation. Final results, including full softening of tip swelling, emerge over six to twelve months — though the primary aesthetic improvement is visible from week two. Minimum age is 18, ensuring the nasal skeleton is fully developed before surgery. Aspirin and anti-inflammatory medications should be stopped two weeks before the procedure.
