Upper Eyelid Surgery (Upper Blepharoplasty)

Upper blepharoplasty addresses the accumulation of excess skin in the upper eyelid — a process driven by the progressive laxity of the orbicularis oculi muscle and the stretching of eyelid skin over decades of movement. In its milder forms, this manifests as a heaviness or hooded appearance around the eyes. In more advanced cases, the skin folds over the lash line, sometimes impairing peripheral vision in the upper field.
