Root Canal
Duration

Root canal treatment carried out under a dental operating microscope to clean, disinfect and seal the canals inside a tooth affected by deep decay, infection or inflammation of the pulp. Magnification helps the dentist locate and treat the fine canal anatomy precisely, improving the chance of saving the tooth. Pricing scales with the number of canals, from single-canal teeth up to molars. A separate restoration rebuilds the tooth afterward.
Root canal (endodontic) treatment is used when the soft tissue inside a tooth — the pulp — becomes inflamed or infected through deep decay, a crack or trauma. The aim is to relieve pain, clear infection and preserve the natural tooth rather than remove it. At Stomatologia Pietrzyccy the treatment can be performed under a dental operating microscope, whose magnification and illumination help the dentist find every canal, including narrow or curved ones, and clean and shape them thoroughly. Under local anaesthesia the dentist removes the diseased pulp, disinfects the canal system and shapes it before sealing it to prevent reinfection; the work may be completed across one or more visits depending on the tooth and the level of infection, with a temporary inter-visit filling placed where needed. Because microscope-assisted treatment is more detailed, prices reflect canal complexity — from single-canal front teeth through premolars to multi-canal molars — and a lower-cost non-microscope option is also offered. After the canals are sealed the tooth is more brittle and usually needs a definitive restoration, often a crown, which is planned and priced separately and is associated with protecting the tooth long-term. An initial qualification appointment assesses whether the tooth is suitable for endodontic treatment.
