Dental Implant Placement

Type

Dental Implants

Duration

1 hour

Placement of a titanium dental implant to replace a missing tooth root, performed by an oral surgeon who completed a hospital maxillofacial-surgery specialisation. After CBCT-based planning, the implant is positioned in the jawbone under local anaesthesia and left to integrate before a crown is fitted at a later stage. The practice also offers immediate placement at the time of extraction in suitable cases, and uses A-PRF growth factors and bone-grafting materials where extra support is needed. Anaesthesia and suture removal are included in the surgical fee.

A dental implant is a small titanium post placed into the jawbone to act as an artificial tooth root, providing a stable foundation for a crown, bridge or denture once it has healed. At Stomatologia Pietrzyccy the procedure is carried out by Dr Marcin Pietrzycki, whose oral-surgery specialisation was completed at the Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic of the University Clinical Hospital in Wrocław, and planning is based on a CBCT scan that maps bone volume and the position of nerves and the sinus. The placement itself is performed under local anaesthesia, which is included in the fee along with free suture removal. The surgeon makes a small opening in the gum, prepares the implant site and positions the implant, after which a period of healing allows the bone to integrate with the surface before the final restoration is made. In suitable situations the clinic offers immediate implant placement at the same appointment as a tooth extraction, reducing the number of surgical visits. Where the bone is insufficient, augmentation options are available, including A-PRF growth factors prepared from the patient's own blood, bone-substitute grafting materials and sinus-floor elevation. A healing abutment and, later, an implant crown or bridge complete the treatment and are priced separately. Implant treatment is associated with restoring chewing function and appearance after tooth loss; suitability, the number of implants and any need for grafting are assessed at an implant consultation supported by imaging.
