Physio Training at Physio Clinic Suchánek bridges the gap between clinical physiotherapy and independent gym work. Each 55-minute session is designed by a physiotherapist who understands your movement dysfunction and trains you to correct it through supervised gym exercises — targeting the muscle groups, movement patterns, and coordination deficits identified in your physiotherapy assessment. This is not personal training; it is rehabilitation-directed exercise supervised by a physiotherapy-trained clinician in the clinic's private gym.
Physio Training is the stage of rehabilitation where therapeutic goals shift from manual correction to active self-sufficiency. At Physio Clinic Suchánek it occupies the bridge between passive physiotherapy — where the therapist does most of the corrective work — and independent exercise, which many patients find difficult to sustain safely without clinical guidance. Each session is supervised by a physiotherapy-trained trainer (Bc. Ivan Jirák, Mgr. et Mgr. Jana Koubková, or Bc. Tomáš Porjanda) working from the clinical assessment findings in your file. The training plan is not generic: it is built around the specific movement deficits, muscle imbalances, and postural corrections identified during your initial physiotherapy diagnostic and updated as you progress. The 55-minute session takes place in the clinic's private gym, which accommodates a maximum of 2 people at a time — providing the equivalent of semi-private supervision and eliminating the distractions and social pressures of a commercial gym. Equipment includes resistance machines, free weights, balance and proprioception tools, and bodyweight exercise stations. Typical programmes focus on: lumbar stabilisation for back pain (deep core activation, progressive loading in functional positions), scapular stability and rotator cuff loading for shoulder rehabilitation, knee strengthening protocols for post-ACL or meniscus surgery, hip stability for post-hip replacement or trochanteric bursitis, and scoliosis-specific exercise (Schroth-influenced approaches, adapted Pilates, asymmetric loading). Movement quality is assessed and corrected every repetition — the trainer observes compensation patterns, adjusts load and position to maintain correct motor recruitment, and curates the session so that each exercise reinforces rather than undermines your rehabilitation goals. Who benefits: patients transitioning out of passive physiotherapy who are not yet confident training independently; post-surgical patients building strength under physiotherapy guidance; those with scoliosis, chronic back or hip pain, or postural imbalance who need structured corrective exercise; and athletes returning to sport who require monitored loading progression. Preparation: wear comfortable training shoes and gym clothing. Bring water. The trainer will have your file from your physiotherapy sessions.
