Salmon DNA Skin Rejuvenation at Petra Clinic uses Rejuran polynucleotide (PDRN) microinjections to activate the skin's repair machinery from within. PDRN — purified from salmon milt DNA — binds to adenosine receptors on fibroblasts, switching on collagen and elastin synthesis while simultaneously exerting anti-inflammatory effects that calm sensitised skin. Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers that add volume passively, PDRN triggers the skin's own regenerative pathways. Rejuran at Petra Clinic contains polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN) — low-molecular-weight polynucleotide chains derived from salmon (Oncorhynchus mykiss) sperm DNA. Salmon DNA shares approximately 96% structural homology with human DNA and, after extensive enzymatic hydrolysis and purification to remove all proteins, poses no immunogenic risk. In the tissue PDRN acts primarily by binding to P1 (adenosine A2A) receptors on fibroblasts and endothelial cells, triggering a downstream pathway that upregulates DNA synthesis and cell proliferation.
