Radiolifting — RF Skin Tightening

Type

Skin Tightening

Duration

1 hour

Radiolifting at Petra Clinic applies monopolar or bipolar radiofrequency energy through a smooth handpiece to tighten facial skin and reduce wrinkles without injections or surgery. The RF waves penetrate below the epidermis to heat the collagen fibres in the dermis, causing immediate mild contraction and triggering a prolonged wound-healing response that produces new, better-organised collagen over the following weeks. Treatments cover the face, neck, brow and eye area, décolletage, arms and hands. Each session takes 30–60 minutes; skin is mildly warm and flushed immediately afterwards with no true downtime. A series of sessions yields progressive tightening, making this an accessible maintenance option alongside more intensive lifting procedures.

Radiolifting is Petra Clinic's RF skin-tightening protocol for facial and body areas where skin laxity is present but surgery is not warranted. Radiofrequency energy creates dielectric heating within the dermis — the RF current causes tissue molecules to vibrate, generating heat uniformly rather than at a single point. When dermis temperature reaches approximately 40–42°C, collagen fibres contract immediately, producing a visible firming effect from the very first session. More importantly, the controlled thermal stimulus activates fibroblasts to synthesise fresh collagen and elastin over the subsequent six to twelve weeks, gradually improving skin texture, laxity and surface smoothness. Petra Clinic uses RF devices appropriate to each treatment zone. Facial sessions typically address the full face, including jowls, nasolabial folds and forehead, while separate protocols cover the periorbital area, neck and décolletage. Upper arm skin laxity and the backs of the hands are also treatable. Sessions run 30–90 minutes depending on the number of areas included. The treatment surface may feel warm to the touch for one to two hours and mild redness often resolves within a few hours; sunscreen is recommended for 48 hours post-treatment. Multiple sessions are usually needed for optimal effect — a typical course involves four to six treatments at monthly intervals, followed by maintenance every three to six months. Radiolifting is frequently combined with mesotherapy or PRP in the same visit to amplify collagen-stimulation effects. It is suitable year-round and appropriate for all skin types and phototypes.
