PRP Plasmalifting at Petra Clinic uses the patient's own platelet-rich plasma to rejuvenate the skin through natural growth-factor stimulation. A small blood sample is drawn, centrifuged in the clinic's REGEN preparation system to concentrate platelets to three to five times physiological levels, then applied via multiple microinjections into the dermis of the face, neck or scalp. Platelets release a cocktail of growth factors — PDGF, TGF-β, VEGF, EGF — that activate resident fibroblasts, stimulate collagen and elastin synthesis, and improve tissue hydration. Because the treatment uses the patient's own biological material, the risk of allergic reaction is essentially zero. Two days without makeup is the typical post-treatment precaution; effects last up to twelve months.
Petra Clinic's PRP Plasmalifting protocol uses the REGEN system, a closed centrifuge process that isolates and concentrates platelets from the patient's own venous blood. At the start of the session, 15–20 ml of blood is drawn from the antecubital vein into dedicated tubes containing an anticoagulant. The tubes undergo double-spin centrifugation — the first spin separates erythrocytes from the plasma layer, and the second concentrates platelets from three- to fivefold above baseline platelet counts. The resulting PRP volume (5–6 ml standard) is then prepared for injection. Petra Clinic's physicians perform superficial microinjections across the full face, neck and décolletage using fine mesotherapy needles, distributing the plasma evenly at the mid-dermis level where fibroblast populations are most active. Upon release from alpha granules, the concentrated platelets secrete at least seven key growth factors: PDGF (platelet-derived), TGF-β1 and β2 (stimulates collagen I synthesis), VEGF (neoangiogenesis), EGF (epidermal regeneration), FGF (fibroblast proliferation), IGF-1 and connective tissue growth factor. The tissue response unfolds over four to six weeks: an immediate inflammatory phase clears the injection channels, followed by proliferative collagen deposition and a remodelling phase that continues for three to six months. Clients typically notice improved skin texture and hydration within four weeks, with the peak volumising and firming effect at three months. A single session produces effects lasting up to twelve months; two sessions per year as maintenance is a common protocol. For hair loss, PRP is injected at scalp level to stimulate follicular stem cells — a variant protocol offered separately at 10,000 Kč. The clinic also offers a combined PRP + hyaluronic acid variant (13,000 Kč) where HA is mixed with the plasma to produce a biostimulating hydrofiller that addresses both volume and regeneration in one application.
