The treatment earned its name from its popularity before red-carpet events: it produces an immediate clean, matte, luminous finish with essentially no downtime — the face may be mildly pink for an hour or two, and makeup can be applied the same day. It suits almost all skin types, including oily and acne-prone skin, and is repeatable every three to four weeks; courses of four to six sessions give cumulative improvement in tone, texture and pore appearance.

The session takes around 45–60 minutes including carbon mask application and laser passes, performed by the clinic's device-aesthetics specialist. Sun protection is recommended after treatment, and the procedure is best avoided on actively inflamed or freshly tanned skin.
